Overall it has kind of a nice quality.Dave Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15878045871541296376noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2246591235411179498.post-37072673829867938202009-02-22T18:11:00.000-08:002009-02-22T18:11:00.000-08:00This is a beautiful drawing! This blogging stuff is much better when someone actually looks in.

Zecchi is about the only place I can think of that sells prepared paper all ready to go. Importing paper from Italy seems like way too much trouble and expense, especially when preparing it yourself isn't all that hard. Beside I can make it as needed in the size and color I want.

I've heard of a number of ways to speed up the oxidizing process, but none have really worked. Egg yolk is a new one though. The problem is this is a waterbased ground so that could pose potential problems.

And that is a nice triptych. There's a lot of things over there that I like.Dave Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15878045871541296376noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2246591235411179498.post-2941583781239400722009-02-21T11:23:00.000-08:002009-02-21T11:23:00.000-08:00This is a lovely silverpoint,David.I assume you mu...This is a lovely silverpoint,David.
I assume you must have prepared the paper yourself, because of the unusual and rich color. I admire the detail and sensitivity of your
drawing.

I do silverpoints too. I read somewhere that if you paint a newly-finished piece with diluted egg-yolk, it will make the silver lines oxidize more quikly. Weird, but something to think about trying.

Thank you for your kind compliments on my triptych painting.

Priscilla TreacyAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
